Sparking ehealth innovations
Liz Harrison is the Associate Dean Physical Therapy and Interprofessional Health Sciences Education (College of Medicine) at the University of Saskatchewan. She has been a sports physical therapy clinician since 1983 and worked in a variety of clinical settings in public and private sectors. Her teaching and research in physical therapy have supported her interest in bridging research and clinical practice to improve health services. As past Chair of the Health Services Utilization and Research Commission and the Sask Health Research Foundation, she has had tremendous experiences in knowledge exchange activities. She has been the Chair of the Continuing Physical Therapy Education program in Saskatchewan and is interested in exploring more opportunities for advancing technology to support interprofessional continuing education and learning opportunities for health professionals throughout their careers. She has presented at national and international conferences and was the scientific chair of the most recent World Physical Therapy Congress. Liz has had the opportunity to work with colleagues from across Canada on a variety of interprofessional education and research activities. Most recently she has been a member of the Canadian Interprofessional Health Collaborative and has a special interest in the knowledge exchange initiatives of this organization.
