Dr. Harry Karlinsky obtained his MD from the University of Manitoba, his specialty degree in Geriatric Psychiatry from the University of Toronto and his Masters in Neuroscience degree from the University of London, England. Currently he is a Clinical Professor and Director, Continuing Professional Development, in the Department of Psychiatry. His research studies Alzheimer's disease and, most recently, on how new advances in information technology can enhance clinical care and education in mental health. Dr. Karlinsky is the principal investigator for two research projects titled Telemental Health Services to Rural British Columbia and the Yukon and Workplace Injury Management - Using New Technology to Deliver Physician Education. Honours include Baycrest Hospital's Munk Geriatric Award, a Clinical Traineeship Award from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and a Lady Davis Visiting Professor Fellowship, Technion University, Israel.
